In Loving Memory of Carter Wagner
August 1, 2008 - July 7, 2025

It is with broken hearts that we mourn the sudden and tragic loss of Carter Wagner, a cherished member of the Huntingdon VFW Teener League, who passed away far too soon at just 16 years old. He was the catcher for Kyper’s and a member of the 2025 15/16 All Star Team.
Carter wasn’t just a talented athlete. He was a teammate, a leader, and a loyal friend on and off the field. Whether he was stepping up to the plate, encouraging someone from the dugout, or lending a helping hand after practice, Carter brought a spirit of kindness, determination, and joy that inspired everyone around him.
His love for the game was contagious. He played with heart and grit that reminded us all why we love baseball. Coaches saw him as dependable and driven. Teammates looked up to him. Younger players admired him. He had a smile that never seemed to fade.
We are devastated by this loss, and we know that nothing can fill the space left behind by Carter’s passing. But we will remember him in every crack of the bat, every cheer from the stands, every ring of the cowbell, and every sunset practice that reminds us how precious time truly is.
To honor Carter’s legacy, we will carry forward the values he lived by — teamwork, compassion, resilience, and love for the game. His jersey may hang still now, but his impact will forever move through every inning we play.
Our deepest love and prayers go out to Carter’s family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. Though he played only a short season in this life, his memory will live on in the hearts of our baseball family forever.
With love and remembrance,
Huntingdon VFW Teener League
